  • Lacy Hodges earned her Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in English from the University of Florida. Before coming to Georgia Tech in 2014, she served as an Assistant Professor of English, teaching literature, writing, and media studies. In her current role, Lacy oversees the GT 1000 and GT 2000 programs, which guide and support our incoming first-year and transfer students as they begin their journeys at Georgia Tech. Her areas of interest include student development theory, curriculum development, inclusive teaching practices, and student transitions.

    In addition to her work with GT 1000 and 2000, Lacy is also a Gallup-certified Strengths coach and is part of Georgia Tech’s Effective Team Dynamics Initiative, helping to develop and facilitate workshops for students, faculty, and staff using Strengths to build effective teams.
